Fulham Football Club has announced its largest ever commercial partnership, with sports betting firm Marathonbet coming on board as the Barclays Premier League side’s new main sponsor. The two-year deal, which includes an option to extend for a further year, will see Marathonbet’s logo displayed on the shirts of the first team and under-21s, replacing FXPro.
Fulham has described the new deal as the ‘biggest in the club’s history’, however, financial terms were not released.
The club’s chief executive Alistair Mackintosh said: ‘I’m delighted that Marathonbet has joined us as our main team sponsor and we look forward to working with them in the future. As a dynamic and inventive brand, I believe that Marathonbet shares the club’s objectives in terms of development and innovation.’
The announcement of the new agreement coincided with the unveiling of Fulham’s new adidas-made home strip.
Graham Luke, the president and chief executive of Marathonbet, added: ‘Fulham Football Club is the ideal partner and ideal platform from which Marathonbet can introduce itself as the sportsbook: ‘where the world comes to play’.
‘Marathonbet, like Fulham, is unique in its tradition and values, and I am excited at the prospect of developing a successful partnership.’
Fulham FC finished the last Barclays Premier League campaign in 12th position and will be competing in the league for a thirteenth consecutive season.
