Premier League club Fulham has announced refurbishment plans to increase the
capacity of its Craven Cottage stadium by 4,000.
The stadium currently holds 26,000 supporters and the club have approached
the local council to extend to 30,000.
Fulham are proposing to increase the capacity in the Riverside Stand by
removing the executive boxes and also open the riverside walk to the public.
If the plans are approved, the Cottagers will commence work at the end of the
current season.
The club will also provide £1m in funding to help council plans to rejuvenate
the nearby Bishop’s Park area.
