Rising star Carlos Acaraz showed himself to be a serious Wimbledon contender after claiming victory at Queen’s this weekend, while veteran Frankie Dettori crossed the line first to win the Gold Cup at Ascot. Elsewhere, the women’s Ashes entered the fifth day with England chasing 268 to win in the first Test, while stars of the men’s game took to the field to throw the first pitch at MLB’s London Series event.


Carlos Alcaraz was crowned the winner of the 2023 cinch Championships after a clinching a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur.

Online car retailer cinch replaced mixer drinks brand Fever-Tree as the title partner of the event in 2020.

In the Gold Cup, Frankie Dettori rode 15-2 shot Courage Mon Ami to victory in the jockey’s final Royal Ascot meeting.
