Gary Lineker’s Goalhanger agrees DAZN deal

Gary Lineker and his podcast, The Rest is Football, have partnered with DAZN, which has secured exclusive broadcasting rights to the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The news follows DAZN obtaining exclusive rights to stream all 63 matches of the FIFA Club World Cup in the US this summer.

The tournament is set to be the most expansive edition to date, featuring 32 teams and being hosted for the first time in the United States.

As part of this coverage, Gary Lineker’s podcast, The Rest is Football, produced by Goalhanger, has been integrated into DAZN’s tournament offering.

The show will include licensed match footage, tournament previews, and other original content featuring Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Micah Richards.

Lineker had departed the BBC last month after a 26-year tenure as host of Match of the Day.
