GB Hockey Captain Joins Promote PR
Specialist sport and fitness public relations agency, Promote PR, has appointed Great Britain women’s hockey captain, Kate Walsh, as their newest recruit. Walsh led the GB Women’s Hockey team to Olympic bronze at London 2012 and has amassed over 290 international caps.
Promote PR Managing Director, Sue Anstiss, said of the appointment: ‘We’re all incredibly excited to have Kate in our team. Having worked with her this summer as we promoted Hockey participation around London 2012 we’ve seen how natural she is with the media. It’s great that we can now utilise those skills from the agency side for other clients too.’
Walsh added: ‘I am so grateful to Promote for providing me with the opportunity to work in sports PR, whilst still enabling me to train every day with the squad at the national hockey centre at Bisham Abbey.’
