talkSPORT has launched a new partnership with Gillette, through Starcom, to promote the razor brand’s sponsorship of Movember both on-air and online.

Following a similar collaboration in 2013, Gillette will once again be promoting their sponsorship of Movember to talkSPORT’s listeners, and supporting the campaign which raises funds and awareness for men’s health charities – specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer – by encouraging men to grow a moustache for the month of November.

Last year talkSPORT raised over £21,000 for the cause and this year aim to better that.

Colin Murray will lead the campaign on-air, with daily Movember messages during his weekday show, raising money through a variety of challenges and encouraging listeners to grow their Mo’ along with Colin and his co-hosts, including Rugby World Cup winner, Mike Tindall, Olympic champion Daley Thompson and World Cup finalist Dietmar Hamann.

In addition, talkSPORT’s Ian ‘The Moose’ Abrahams will be challenged to take his bad jokes off the airwaves and into a comedy club, where he’ll perform a stand-up comedy routine to raise funds for Movember.

Adam Mills, talkSPORT sales director, said: ‘With a predominantly male audience talkSPORT is the perfect place for Gillette to promote its work with Movember. It’s a credit to the creativity and hard work of our team that the brand has renewed this partnership for a second year. I’m really looking forward to seeing the talkSPORT team embrace the challenge and grow their Mos!’

Gillette brand nanager Jared Regan added: ‘It’s fantastic to be supporting Movember again this year. Gillette is a brand with a long history of excellence and as key fundraising partner for Movember, it’s important to get the community involved for the greater good.’

‘This is the second year that we will team up with talkSPORT and the Colin Murray show to promote Movember following some fantastic results last year and we hope to make it even bigger and better together this year!’

Last week Mitre and the Football League teamed up to support the charity campaign, which saw the new Mitre Delta V12S Fluo football debut this weekend with a “Mo” all of its own.
