Gillette has swapped David Beckham for the sporting trio of Thierry Henry, Tiger
Woods and Roger Federer to be the faces of its global advertising campaigns.

The three top-tier sports stars will become global faces of the brand having
agreed two-year sponsorship deals with Gillette’s owner Procter & Gamble.

The deals come into play following the conclusion of Beckham’s existing
three-year £40m deal which expires in June.

The first advertising campaign to feature the new triumvirate is being
created by advertising agency BBDO to launch to consumers in July.

According to Beckham’s agents 19 a global deal for the former England captain
is still under negotiation, although it is believed that an extension contract
covering solely the US market might be the more likely course of action
following the former England captain’s agreed transfer to Major League Soccer
team LA Galaxy.
