Glasgow 2026 has appointed Microplus as its official provider of games information systems.
Building on its role at Birmingham 2022, the sports event technology company will use its central results system to distribute real-time data for fans via the official Glasgow 2026 website and its partner channels.
The system will process live competition data from all venues, distributing it through custom APIs and the Olympic Data Feed format to ensure athletes, media, and fans can follow the results live.
The Commonwealth Games will bring together 3,000 athletes from 74 nations to compete across 10 sports and six Para sports. Microplus has over 30 years of experience supporting multi-sport events, including the FISU University Games, European Games, and cycling classics such as the Giro d’Italia.
Mauro Cedrani, CEO of Microplus, said, “We are honoured to be appointed as the Official Provider of Games Information Systems for the Commonwealth Games for the second consecutive time. Our mission is to provide a seamless, world-class digital experience for all stakeholders, ensuring that every result is shared live, clearly displayed, and accessible. Glasgow 2026 represents another important milestone in our long-standing commitment to international sport.”
Phil Batty OBE, Chief Executive, Glasgow 2026, said, “As we move at pace towards the UK’s biggest event next summer, it’s important that we have partners alongside us who have the knowledge and experience to shape the future of the Commonwealth Games and change how multi-sport events are delivered.”
