The organising committee for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games has invited digital agencies to pitch for the re-design and development of the official Games website.
The appointment will see the successful agency tasked with developing the site away from its current focus on the city’s ultimately successful bid for the Games, to the delivery phase of the Games themselves, so that the site will be a source of information for all stakeholders.
The site will also be used to advertise procurement and job opportunities as well as allowing volunteers and other interested parties to register their desire to get involved. Launch date for the new website is estimated to be the end of March 2009.
The deadline for submissions is midday Wednesday 14th January and the pitch is being handled for Glasgow 2014 by The Observatory International.
Details of the tender can be found at – www.glasgow2014.com/GetInvolved/Procurement.
The Games will take place in Glasgow between 23rd July and 3rd August 2014.
