The organisation responsible for the staging of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow has named former British Paralympian David McCrae as its interim head of transport.
McCrae – who competed at the Paralympic Games in Arnhem, Barcelona and Atlanta – will hold responsibility for leading the Glasgow 2014’s transport strategy, which will include planning, scoping and operations around all Games-related transport issues.
McCrae will serve in the role until November 2012, after which a permanent appointment will be named.
