Global Poker League Expands Senior Team

Mediarex Sports & Entertainment (MSE) has recruited brand specialist Jarrod Howell as the new head of sponsorship and brand partnerships.

MSE is looking to change the image of poker and deliver the game to a wider mainstream audience and is hoping the Global Poker League will provide a new level of fan engagement.

The former business development director within corporate alliances at The Walt Disney Company and former senior commercial manager for the ESPN X Games EMEA franchise takes on a newly created position within the company.

Howell will be leading sponsorship and partnership initiatives for Mediarex, most significantly for the Global Poker League, ahead of its 2016 launch and beyond.

Jarrod Howell commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining an extremely dedicated and passionate team at MSE. Their innovative plans to rebrand the poker industry are game changing and there will be many fantastic multi-channel exposure opportunities for brands to get involved in across the Global Poker League and wider Mediarex portfolio.”
