GMR Group has entered an period of exclusivity to acquire a 49% stake in The Hundred’s Southern Brave.
The team’s host club Hampshire has progressed negotiations with te group following a selection process led by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), The Raine Group and Deloitte.
The agreement is set to be finalised within an eight-week period.
GMR Group, which took majority ownership of Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl in September 2024, has an established presence in global sport. The India-based conglomerate owns Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League and operates cricket teams in Dubai, Pretoria, and Seattle.

The Hundred has been a key part of English cricket’s domestic calendar since its launch in 2021, and this investment would further integrate international stakeholders into the competition’s structure.
