The Sport Industry Private Dining Club, presented by The Inzito Partnership, converged for the first edition of the 2014/15 calendar last night, with Olympic legend and four-time gold medallist Michael Johnson reflecting on his career and speaking on his latest performance work to a packed room of industry executives at the stunning central London venue, The Hospital Club.
The 400m world record holder spoke about the dedication and scientific precision needed to become and remain a top class athlete, and how he has taken his own track experience forward to establish world-renowned sports performance training organisation, Michael Johnson Performance (MJP).
With centres already established in Dallas and Ohio, MJP launched in the UK earlier this year in partnership with Perform at St. George’s Park, the National Football Centre in Burton upon Trent. The centre delivers world-class training for youth, college and professional athletes & teams and will soon branch into the corporate market to offer motivational and team building away days.
The exclusive Club meets four times a year at some of the most spectacular venues in central London. Members of the Club include illustrious representatives from leading brands, governing bodies and agencies within the sports industry.
For every one of the four prominent events, each member of the Club is entitled to bring one guest, resulting in an ever changing guest list, with new conversations facilitated and shared at every evening.
The event on Wednesday evening featured senior guests from the likes of British Cycling, NFL, Samsung, British Swimming, Deloitte, EY, BT, Pinsent Masons, Sunset + Vine, Barclays, Thomas Lyte, Maxinutrition, Truphone, Sky Sports, Essentially, Perform, Loughborough University, RFU, RPMC, Marriott Hotels, H+K Strategies, Arc London, Sportsworld, Hanover Communications, Fuse, Robertson Taylor W&P Longreach, England Hockey, The FA, Arsenal FC, Two Circles, Havas Sports & Entertainment, and many more.
Now in its seventh year, the Sport Industry Private Dining Club represents an opportunity for the most influential people from across the sector to meet, talk, share ideas and shape our industry’s future.
