Twitter and GoPro have announced a collaboration that will allow users of the Periscope app to broadcast live video using GoPro action cameras.
The new version of the app will mean users can switch between their GoPro and iPhone cameras and adds a button to lock the phone screen so streaming is still possible from the GoPro camera.
Users can use the app to stream live video to their followers from an iOS device, then others can follow and comment in real time.
How it works; connect to GoPro’s WiFi on video mode; open Periscope on an iPhone and press broadcast; the GoPro button will automatically be highlighted, so give the stream a title and it’s then live.

Live broadcasts from GoPro can now be shared directly to Twitter’s home timeline, enabling GoPro users and Periscope broadcasters to expand their reach to their Twitter fan base.
“GoPro enables people to capture and share their experiences in the most immersive way possible, and the integration with Periscope provides GoPro users with a great, real-time platform to share their content., said Tony Bates, president of GoPro
