GoPro has released its latest camera, the HERO+, designed as a low-cost, entry level camera that is also Wifi and Bluetooth enabled.
Priced at £169.99, the HERO+ – like the rest of the HERO range – is waterproof and compatible with GoPro’s array of mounts and accessories.
The Wifi feature allows the camera to connect with GoPro’s mobile app and use tools such as a Trim & Share, which allows the user to create and share short video clips across social media channels.
According to GoPro, the new device aims to complement the HERO4 Black and HERO4 Silver, priced at the top of the range at £409.99 and £329.99, respectively.
“Whether mounted to a weather balloon floating 100,000 feet above the earth to capture a sunrise across the stratosphere or in the hands of a child recording their backyard tree house adventures, HERO+ is built to capture your imagination wherever it takes you,” said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro’s founder and CEO.
“Even as we continue to raise the bar for our highest performing cameras like HERO4 Black, Silver and Session, we remain committed to developing simplified products like HERO+ that make GoPro life-capture accessible to everyone.”
HERO+ will be available at retailers and on GoPro.com from 4th October.
