Promotion chasing West Ham United has made a number of new additions to its licensing programme in the bedding, publishing, gifts, watches and kitchenware categories.
In the home furnishings category, Zap have recently joined the club’s licensing programme to produce branded bedding, whilst Storm will be developing a new range of BBQ and kitchenware in time for the summer that includes aprons, oven gloves, patio sets, trays and tea light holders.
JK Henderson Enterprises will also be launching adult and children’s watches later this year.
As well as these new licensees joining the programme, both Poolebeck and Grange Communications have renewed their license agreements; Poolebeck continuing to manufacture a wide range of gifting items with a new addition of alcohol gift packs and Grange back on board for annuals, diaries and desk calendars.
The agreements bolster an extensive licensing programme for the West Ham United featuring over 30 licensees including Aykroyds/TDP, Danilo, Forever Collectibles, Bafiz, and Scoredraw.
Nicola Thompson, senior commercial manager, CPLG UK, said: ‘We have a very strong programme in place for West Ham United and these latest deals including some new and exciting product ranges are further evidence of the continued interest the licensing community and consumers have in the property.’
‘The brand benefits from a large and committed fanbase and this makes merchandise a sure-fire winner at retail.’
The East London club came from behind to beat Leicester last night and take their battle with Southampton for automatic promotion to the Premier League to the final day.
The Hammers need to beat Hull City on the final day and hope that Southampton lose to relegated Coventry. If the Saints draw, West Ham would need to win by three or four – depending on how many goals the Saints score – to clinch promotion.
