Havas Se Appoints Head Of Sport In Italy

Havas Sports & Entertainment (Havas SE), part of Havas Media Group, has appointed Federico Fantini (above left) as the agency’s new head of sport in Italy.

With over 20 years’ experience in sports marketing, Fantini is general manager of the Sport Business Strategies (SBS) master at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

Previously, he held positions such as director of Aprilia Group Communications, chief marketing officer at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and marketing director of the Benetton Group’s sport holding. Among his projects, Fantini has more recently headed the Olympic bid of Venice 2020.

As head of sport, based in Milan, his main role will be to meet the growing demands of brands in sports and to advise right holders and properties to maximise their revenues’ streams.
