Havas Sports & Entertainment has appointed Pedro Avery as chief executive, succeeding Lucien Boyer who is set to become chief marketing officer at Vivendi Village.
Avery will continue in his role of group managing director Havas Media Group UK and CEO Arena Media UK when his appointment to the sports and entertainment division becomes effective on 1st January 2016.
In the new role, which will remain in London, Avery will be supported by a global team led by managing director, Jérôme de Chaunac – who has been promoted from chief operating officer – and global chief strategy officer, Fredda Hurwitz.

At Vivendi, owner of French TV group Canal+, Boyer has been charged with accelerating the development of integrated marketing offers within the Group.
