Hill Named As New Kentaro Chief

Jonathan Hill, the former commercial director of The Football Association, has been appointed as chief operating officer of sports rights agency the Kentaro Group.


Kentaro specialises in the acquisition and distribution of premium football rights and recently sprang into the spotlight after selling the first-ever internet only rights deal for an England international match.


Hill will join Kentaro on 11th January and will work out of the firm’s London office.


During his five-year tenure at The FA, Hill was responsible for increasing net revenues at the governing body by £300m from the sale of media and sponsorship rights.


Prior to joining The FA, Hill was commercial director at Wembley Stadium following a six-year stint at global sports marketing agency IMG has senior international vice-president of the firm’s football division.
