Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has confirmed the appointment of Jamie Corr as the Managing Director – Sport in the UK.

Corr joins the international PR agency from GMR Marketing, where he specialised in sports marketing consultancy, overseeing brands including Bridgestone and Allianz as well as their relationship with the Olympics.

Prior to that role, Corr was a member of the Partnership Marketing team at the IOC, while he has also worked for M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, Grayling and Redbull.

Simon Whitehead, CEO of H+K UK, said: “Jamie really impressed us; his vision for the sector is akin to ours – a team that believes in the power of sport to change lives, working every day to positively impact cultures and change societies for the better.”

Working closely with Charlie Morgan, overall MD of H+K UK’s Tech, Sport and Entertainment teams, Corr will be tasked with bringing together the different pillars of the practice and focusing on brands that sit at the intersection of the three: creating experiences, impacting lives, powering economies and innovating businesses.

Corr said: “I’ve long admired H+K, whose Sports sector is well known for their creative campaigns. The opportunity to work with them is very exciting, especially during an Olympic year. I believe we can continue to build on recent growth and develop the practice in new ways.”

Having been responsible for global sport communications and marketing at major global events including three Olympic Games in 2014, 2016 and 2018, Tata Consulting’s sponsorship of the Tour De France and Red Bull X Fighters, Corr will now oversee H+K’s Sport portfolio, which includes Visa, HSBC, Adidas and Gillette.
