Castrol has appointed Hill & Knowlton to leverage its newly signed
sponsorship of the 2008 European Championships, the first time the brand has
engaged in football sponsorship.
The campaign will see H&K act as the European PR hub, providing football
consultancy and developing content for a heavy-weight media campaign across the
region in the build-up to, and during, the tournament.
Castrol became one of ten top-tier sponsors of Euro 2008, to be held in
Austria and Switzerland, when it signed a deal with UEFA last month.
Castrol joins Adidas, BenQ, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Continental, Hyundai-Kia,
JVC, MasterCard and McDonald’s on the event’s sponsorship roster.
