Premier League champions Manchester United has signed a multi-million pound sponsorship deal with the Swiss watch brand Hublot.
The luxury watch company, which was also the official timekeeper at Euro 2008, joins other brands Saudi Telecom, Budweiser, and Seoul Metropolitan Government to have signed sponsorship deals with United this season.
Hublot has paid £4m for a three-year partnership and will now have its brand posted throughout the Old Trafford stadium.
This deal comes at a time when United’s principal shirt sponsor, AIG, has been facing economic hardship and has since been nationlised by the US Federal Reserve.
It has not been confirmed whether AIG’s financial state has endangered sponsorship money Manchester United might be owed.
