Hull City have revealed EC Surfacing as a silver partner for 2024/25 Season.


The Brigg-based surfacing and civil engineering company provide a wide array of quality and cost-effective services across various sectors.

EC Surfacing branding will feature prominently around the MKM Stadium on matchdays, appearing on the big screen, LED boards, concourse TVs, and within the official programme. 

Moreover, EC Surfacing have sponsored young midfielder Finley Burns, who has made five appearances since joining the Tigers on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Lee Sutton, Managing Director at EC Surfacing said, “As regular season pass holders, we are looking forward to sharing the matchday experience with our valued customers and colleagues within the community.


Cardiff Rugby have extended their front of shirt sponsorship with WeCare Communications.

The telecom company’s logo will remain on the front of the club’s jerseys for the next two seasons.

This partnership aims to foster community engagement and strengthen local rugby initiatives, as WeCare has also joined the Foundation’s First XV club, furthering its commitment to promoting grassroots rugby in the region.

Chris Collins, Cardiff RFC chair said, “They join us at the start of the first Super Rygbi Cymru season and we look forward to a sustained and mutually beneficial partnership. 

“It is a great way to extend the existing partnership with Cardiff Rugby and further align the two teams at this great club.”


Triple Olympic medallist Kelly Sotherton MBE has been appointed as CEO of the British Elite Athletes Association (BEAA)

Sotherton will formally take over from Anna Watkins MBE in December, and steps into her role at BEAA in the lead-up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic cycle.

The organisation provided support to one in eight World Class Programme athletes during preparations for Paris 2024.

Beyond her athletic success, Sotherton founded the British Athletics’ Athletes’ Commission, where she continues to serve as an advisor, as well as leading Team England’s athletics team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and holding a key position as Talent Coach Development Manager at Sport England.

Sotherton said, “Support and representation are so important for elite athletes, ensuring they’re able to access independent advice and somewhere to amplify their voice.”


The Netball Super League will return to Liverpool’s the M&S Bank Arena in 2025, when the Manchester Thunder face the Birmingham Panthers.

This event strengthens Liverpool’s position as a hub for major sporting competitions, following its success as the host of the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup.
