Hull Kr Unveils Sportingbet Deal
Super League club Hull Kingston Rovers has announced a lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with online bookmaker Sportingbet.com.
The deal, commencing in December 2009, gives Sportingbet.com an extensive portfolio of Hull KR rights, including the brand appearing on the front and back of the home and away jerseys as well as the club’s training kit.
Sportingbet.com branding will also feature prominently in the stadium, including perimeter boards, the dugouts and the players’ tunnel.
In addition to this, Sportingbet.com will be sponsoring the club’s website as well as creating a dedicated Hull KR microsite – www.sportingbet.com/HullKR – with news, offers and competitions throughout the season for fans.
For its part, Hull KR will have presence on promotional material and Hull KR related campaigns that Sportingbet.com will be undertaking over the course of the agreement.
Sportingbet.com has a firm footing in a broad range of sports, in particular football, with high profile sponsorship deals with Premier League teams Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and Portsmouth FC.
This move into Rugby League is aimed at helping the brand build its overall sporting credentials.
Sportingbet.com will also be given commercial opportunities in the Hull KR stadium, with a comprehensive package of perimeter advertising, VIP hospitality and will offer betting services to Hull KR supporters, including In:play betting, that allows fans to get involved in the action and bet while the game is in progress.
