The Hundred has announced that UK health insurance provider Vitality is the new back-of-shirt and training wear sponsor of the tournament.

Vitality, which was already the official wellness partner of the Hundred, has extended its partnership ahead of the second year of the cricket competition, which begins of Wednesday 3rd August.

It will also continue as the title partner for the Vitality Wildcard – the pick to decide the final spots in each of the eight men’s Hundred squads.

The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Vitality have enjoyed a long-standing relationship since 2013. In addition to its involvement in the Hundred, Vitality is the official title partner of men’s and women’s Vitality IT20 cricket and the Vitality Blast competition. It is also an official title partner for key men’s and women’s grassroots T20 tournaments, and the official wellness partner for men’s and women’s Test cricket.

Neville Koopowitz, CEO of Vitality, said, “With the start of The Hundred rapidly approaching, we’re delighted to be able to announce this extension to our partnership. Inspiring people to try a new sport and take steps to become more active is at the very centre of everything we do at Vitality.

“With The Hundred being such an exciting game and format, it is already drawing an entire newgroup of fans to the sport which we know first-hand will in turn inspire many more people to take up and participate in the game, right from grassroots, to local club level and beyond.”

Rob Calder, Commercial Director of the Hundred said, “Vitality has built a strong relationship with cricket and we are pleased to extend our partnership ahead of the second year of The Hundred, as our first Back of Shirt and Training Wear sponsor. We look forward to working with them throughout this year’s competition and into the future.”

The Hundred is a new short, fast format of cricket which debuted in 2021. It features eight teams from seven cities, with men’s and women’s competitions taking place side by side with teams featuring some of the best international and domestic cricketers from around the world.

The men’s competition starts on 3rd August with Southern Brave launching their title defence taking on Welsh Fire at Southampton. The 2021 women’s winners, the Oval Invincibles, kick off the women’s competition a week later on 11th August following their involvement in the Commonwealth games when they play Northern Superchargers at the Oval.
