South Korean-based motor giant Hyundai-Kia has extended its partnership with FIFA as its official automotive partner.
The agreement, signed over four years before the expiry of the existing deal ensures that the company will retain its status as a top-tier FIFA Partner, sponsoring all FIFA competitions up to and including the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
?Hyundai Motor Company has been a long-standing partner since the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan offering logistical support for the various FIFA competitions by providing the fleets of official vehicles on-site.
Belonging to the group of FIFA Partners affords Hyundai-Kia core sponsorship rights to FIFA’s full portfolio of events.
In addition to the events Hyundai-Kia will also have the opportunity to play a wider role in supporting the development of football around the world.
Football sponsorship is at the heart of Hyundai-Kia’s sports marketing programmes – including its Goodwill Ball road show in the build up to the World Cup Finals in South Africa.
The balls travelled across South Africa and all of the 32 qualified countries ahead of the tournament.
Hyundai have conducted the road show at every major football tournaments since Euro 2000.
