IMG has added to its media senior management team with the appointment of Ross Hair to the role of SVP, Head of EMEA.
Hair has previously held a number of senior broadcast media roles at various organisations, spanning both sport and entertainment positions across Europe and Asia.
He previously served as SVP, Commercial EMEA at Scripps Networks (now Discovery) from 2015-2018, and was Managing Director, ESPN EMEA from 2010-2014. He also spent 10 years at Sony Pictures Television International from 2001-2010, rising to the position of EVP, International Networks EMEA.
Prior to that he was based in Singapore with pan-Asian broadcaster ESPN Star Sports and started out in pay television as part of the original launch team for Nickelodeon in the UK.
Most recently, he has been working as a consultant to the sports technology and data sectors, including stints at virtual advertising provider Supponor and information specialists, Data Language.
At IMG, he will be tasked with developing, implementing and executing regional strategy for the media business and team in the region, reporting to Chris Guinness, EVP, Head of Commercial Worldwide.
Guinness said of the appointment: “We are fortunate to have found someone with such a diverse range of skills and experience and a deep understanding of the global media landscape.
“His knowledge and leadership will be a strong complement to our leadership team.”
