Img Debuts Esports Boot Camp
IMG has announced an eSports boot camp to be held at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, 30th July 30 – 5th August 2017. IMG eSports Camp, which is open to individuals ages 12 to 18, will focus on Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).
Spencer ‘Hiko’ Martin, Alexander ‘Kassad’ Trifunovic and Eric ‘adreN’ Hoag will serve as game instructors alongside IMG Academy’s performance experts, who will focus on communication, leadership, nutrition, fitness and reaction times.
“IMG’s esports camp for CS:GO players seems like the perfect opportunity for kids to experience professional eSports from an inside point of view,” said Spencer ‘Hiko’ Martin, professional CS:GO player. “Having something like this when I was younger would have really kick started my professional career. I look forward to participating in this and encourage people to give it a try.”

Over the course of the week, campers can expect to drill and improve on both tactical and technical skills such as aiming accuracy, map awareness, positioning, 1v1 to 5v5 and T side/CT side strategy. Athletic personal development deliverables will include sessions on mental conditioning, physical conditioning, leadership and nutrition.
Campers will also receive access to Boomeo.com, IMG’s eSports platform featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive instructional content and training mods.
