IMG has secured a multi-year partnership to manage and distribute the worldwide media rights of mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion Combate Global.
The US is the only territory excluded by in global sports, events and media business’ rights package.
Combate Global’s MMA competitions focus on country versus country, a format that has helped the franchise expand its programming partnerships in 2022 to media platforms in Spain, France and Portugal.
Since its inception in 2013, US-based Combate Global has produced over 110 live television events and two different reality television series. Its series on American television network Univision is the highest-rated Spanish language show on late-night television in the US.

The deal grows IMG’s international media rights portfolio which already includes UFC, Queensberry Promotions, The Championships (Wimbledon), the R&A, the FA Cup, ATP Tour, US Open, DP World Tour, the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
