Adrian Newey and Jules-Eric Vergne have announced the launch of their new Extreme E racing team, Veloce Racing.
Set up by Formula E President Alejandro Agag, the new motorsport series will begin in 2021 and feature fully electric SUVs racing across some of the world’s most environmentally threatened locations such as Greenland and the Himalayas, with a full five-race calendar still to be announced.
Veloce Racing will see elite esports athlete organisation Veloce Esports making up a key component of the management team alongside Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer Newey, Darryl Eales a former CEO of LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, Andy Webb the former CEO of Marussia F1, and current racing driver Harrison Newey.
Dark Horses has been appointed by sport-for-development charity, Greenhouse to work on an awareness and fundraising campaign.
The charity uses sport to engage young people and manages 50 sports coaching and mentoring programmes a year in disadvantaged areas of London.
Dark Horses and Greenhouse have worked together in the past, with the launch fo the Common Goal campaign, alongside Manchester United footballer Juan Mata. This time, the creative agency will be responsible for developing a new brand campaign for the charity, to launch later this year.

UEFA has announced that Japanese sports manufacturer Molton will supply the official match ball of the Europa League group stages.
The brand has spefically adapted its flagship football model, the Vantaggio 5000, for the competition and, just like with the Champions League, Molton will launch a new ball for the knockout stages in early 2020.
Asics has been announced as the Official Footwear and Apparel Partner of tennis academy the Mouratoglou Academy.
The multi-year deal will see both Asics and the prestigious coaching facility work together on areas of research and development around tennis, while Patrick Mouratoglou, the founder of the academy, will become an Asics ambassador.
The BBC has announced that it has extended its broadcast deal with the European Tour.
The deal sees the broadcaster cover highlights of the 2020 and 2022 Ryder Cup tournaments, as well as retaining TV highlights of the BMW PGA Championship and Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open as well as the new DP World Tour Championship Dubai, until 2022.
