Aston Martin Cognizant F1 team has appointed Rob Bloom as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Bloom joins from fellow F1 outfit McLaren Racing, where he spent eight years, most recently as Digital Director, where he developed the team’s fan engagement strategy, leading on content, digital channels, social media, creative campaigns, CRM and loyalty.
London Sport has announced a new multi-year partnership with Mexican food chain Chipotle, which will see the restaurant company support London Sport’s vision of making London the most physically active city in the world.
Chipotle, which opened its first London branch in 2010, is the first commercial organisation in 2021 to formally back London Sport’s #WeAreNotSpectators pledge to champion grassroots sport across the capital, which will see the restaurant brand included in all London Sport events including the London Sport Awards in 2021 and 2022.
The partnership will also see grassroots sport heroes in London promoted to Chipotle’s thousands of customers with a new monthly recognition campaign that celebrates the dedication of people and organisations working to make community sport happen across the capital.
The pair will also work together to promote healthy nutrition, beginning with the new “London Sport Bowl” which launched onto Chipotle menus in London this month.
The BBC has secured broadcast rights to all five World Athletics World Indoor Tour meets in 2021.
The meets will begin in Karlsruhe, Germany, on 29th January, and end on 20th February in Madrid. The first event will mark Dina Asher-Smith’s international return to athletics alongside many of the world’s best track and field stars, and will be available on the BBC’s digital platforms.
A new report from Oaks Consultancy, in partnership with Laureus Sport for Good, the International Platform on Sport and Development, streetfootballworld and the Sport for Development Coalition has shown the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the sport for development sector.
According to the State of the Sector report, some 60% of sport for development fundraising organisations forecast reductions in income in 2021, while 82.5% of those who say their revenue will go down also expect either stagnation or further reductions next year.
