Birmingham 2022 has released its ticketing information as well as details of exactly which events will be held in each of the 286 sessions that will feature at next summer’s Games.

Billed as the ‘Games for Everyone’, Birmingham 2022 will have tickets available from £8 for under 16s and from £15 for adults, with every single session having tickets available for £22, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and all medal sessions.

19 different sports on offer across 11 days of competition, which will include two ‘Super Sundays’ – and the second set to be the ‘ultimate showcase of women’s sport’, with medal sessions in women’s hockey, T20 cricket, and netball.

The event schedule was launched by Team England hopefuls (above) who visited the host city’s Alexander Stadium – an important Games venue currently undergoing a £72 million refurbishment which is on budget and on schedule to be completed in Spring 2022.


The Sport and Recreation Alliance has announced an exclusive multi-year partnership with live video streaming platform, Joymo. 

The platform – which is Shortlisted in the Cutting Edge Sport in association with PT SportSuite at the Sport Industry Awards 2021 – will become the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s Official Live Streaming Partner and preferred sports content management platform. 

The deal will see Joymo work with Sport and Recreation Alliance members to power their direct-to-consumer streaming ambitions. The Alliance currently represents 320 organisations in its role as the representative body for national sports organisations, including the likes of the FA and RFU, as well as smaller expert organisations like Angling Trust and the British Tenpin Bowling Association. 

The Alliance’s members will have access to the platforms which has been built for athletes, teams and sports organisers, enabling them to broadcast their content directly to fans who can watch live or on demand – as well as sell pay-per-view access to supporters per game, competition or event or offer a longer-term ‘season ticket’, with revenues going back directly to the content creators. 


The FA National Futsal Series’ Summer Showdown Grand Final will be screened live on BT Sport.

The final, taking place on 27th June, is hailed as a ‘significant step’ for The FA National Futsal series, in its ambition to grow the sport across England.

The move follows the series’ appointment of Halfspace Group – Shortlisted for Young Agency of the Year at the Sport Industry Awards 2021 – which will handle marketing and activation as well as introducing new sponsors to the sport.


Gloucester Rugby has announced plans to move its training facilities into a new multi-million-pound training ground.

The facility will be next door to the club’s Kingsholm Stadium, and will include a gym supplied by new partner Sportesse; a rehabilitation centre with both hot and cold recovery systems; and an indoor high performance training pitch. 

The investment also includes an upgrade of the existing pitch at Kingsholm to a ‘world-class artificial turf’ surface.


The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Sportradar Integrity Services have extended their integrity partnership through to the end of 2023.

The pair first started working together in 2017, and under the new agreement, events organised or sanctioned by ITTF or its affiliates, including the World Table Tennis Championships and various World Table Tennis events, will be monitored by Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System.

ITTF will also be able to utilise Sportradar Intelligence & Investigation Services, to help identify and investigate integrity threats and issues with the use of their intelligence, investigation and due diligence expertise.


British Rowing has announced Pulseroll as its Official Muscle Recovery Supplier. The vibration training and muscle recovery brand will provide products to all GB Rowing Team athletes on their journey to Tokyo this summer and up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

Ranging from massage guns to vibration foam rollers and consistently used by elite level athletes across multiple sports, Pulseroll’s suite of products will help GB Rowing Team athletes with their daily recovery routines, supporting them to prepare and perform over the next four years. 

Throughout the partnership, Pulseroll will also help educate and inspire recovery and wellbeing practices for the whole of the British Rowing community.
