The German Football League (DFL) has confirmed that it hopes to bring fans back to Bundesliga games at the start of next season, subject to approval from the government.

Under the proposals set out by the league, clubs would be allowed to partially fill stadiums, but would not be able to sell tickets to away fans, allow standing sections or sell alcohol in the ground. Clubs would also be required to launch track and trace measures in order to identify outbreaks related to games.

The Bundesliga was the first major European league to restart during the pandemic, and will begin again on 18th September when fans will be in attendance if the government gives the green light.

Disability Sports Coach, a charity providing sporting events for disabled people, has launched a new Virtual Summer Festival, which will take place from 25-28th August.

The charity runs a pan-disability festival of sport each summer, but will take the event online due to the coronavirus pandemic, which the organisation points out has disproportionately  impacted disable people.

The 2020 Disability Sports Coach Virtual Summer Festival will feature a range of live sport sessions, guest speaker events and expert panels taking place over four days, with activities including a range of interactive sports sessions led by the likes of England Netball, The Amazing Race, and Adapted Yoga. The event will also feature a quiz led by former Paralympic swimmer and Disability Sports Coach Patron, Kate Grey, and a series of sessions with inspirational figures from the disabled community.
