DAZN has unveiled its slate of original programming which will launch on its new DAZN Global platform, featuring the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy ‘GGG’ Golovkin.
The platform is now live in 200 countries and territories, and will see the content rolled out in December and January in a bid to amplify DAZN’s world championship boxing portfolio.
It will feature the likes of ‘Parallel Worlds’ a new docu-series connecting global sporting icons from different disciplines to discover what they share in common, with the first episode featuring an intimate conversation between Cristiano Ronaldo and Gennadiy Golovkin as they explore training techniques.
The availability of original content on DAZN Global will vary per market.
Premier Sports has acquired a minority stake in JOE Media as part of a strategic partnership which will see both outlets join together in a new content deal.
The pair will share resources and will produce content together which will be used on digital platforms as well as on Premier Sports broadcasts.
The JOE and Her brands were acquired by private equity fund Greencastle Acquisition earlier this year, and are now managed by Iconic Labs, who recently announced £750,000 worth of new contracts for the publisher.
Millwall fans applauded their team’s gesture of support for racial equality during their Sky Bet EFL Championship match against Queens Park Rangers at The Den on Tuesday night.
The news followed Saturday’s incident in which fans booed players taking the knee.
This time, Millwall players didn’t take the knee before the game, but instead linked arms with QPR players as both sides displayed an banner promoting equality together. QPR players took the knee before the match – a move which saw the club overturn its policy of not taking the knee before games – while the Millwall squad remained standing. Marlon Romeo, who had previously spoken of his offense at Saturday’s booing, raised his fist.
Millwall say they will continue with the anti-racism campaign, asking opposition teams to join them in similar arm-linking gestures in future matches.
Global Cycling Network (GCN) has launched GCN Training, a dedicated channel provuiding informative videos to give cyclists advice on physiology and nutrition as well as suggested gym and yoga workouts.
