The IOC has also confirmed the schedule for marathon and race walking schedules, both of which have been moved to Sapporo to combat potential high temperatures in Tokyo at Games time. The events will be held over the final four days of the Games from 6th-9th August with mens’ and women’s marathons starting at 7am local time.
