The ECB has announced New Era as the Official Headwear Supplier to The Hundred, its new 100-ball competition.

The pair have entered into a three-year partnership which will see New Era create a bespoke collection of headwear for all eight city-based teams competing in the new competition, set to launch in July 2020. City Football Group and EA SPORTS have launched a new global partnership, building on the tie-in that the FIFA series designers have built with Manchester City over the past number of years.

EA SPORTS will become the Official Gaming Partner to the whole City Football Group – Manchester City, Melbourne City and New York City FC.

Manchester City, meanwhile, will host a monthly ‘lifestyle gaming’ show on CityTV, looking at the latest trends in football and gaming and placing a focus on EA SPORTS FIFA Team of the Week and EA SPORTS Player of the Month.


The 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon says it has raised a record-breaking £66.4m for charity, setting a new record for an annual single-day charity fundraising event – a record it has broken for 13 straight years.

The new record was an increase of more than £2.5m on last year’s £63.7m total and means that the London Marathon has raised over £1bn since its launch in 1981.


The ECB has announced extra funding for First Class Counties in attempt to boost fan experience in stadiums.

The funding comes on the back of the news that professional cricket matches in England broke the 3m attendance barrier for the first time ever.


British Rowing has teamed up with virtual medal company Race the Distance to create an online platform to host rowing challenges and medals.

‘Row The Distance’ allows people to sign up to indoor rowing challenges with the chance to win medals and certificates at the end of the race. The initiative offers users the chance to compete in monthly and annual challenges, as well as one-offs such as ‘Rowing the Atlantic’.
