Cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better is joining forces with England Netball and Debenhams to launch a fundraising event in October.

The two-day netball event, taking place on 3rd and 4th October at the Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park will see both professional and amateur netball players participate together, while raising funds to help people face their cancer with confidence.

All monies raised across the weekend will help Look Good Feel Better continue to provide workshops and advice for women, men and young adults undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.

The number of Italians who would consider attending a Serie A match has remained steady in the face of the suspension of matches across Italy as a result of coronavirus, according to data from Sport Industry Awards 2020 partner YouGov Sport.

In defiance of the suspensions, almost a third of Italians (31%) would still consider attending a game, slightly up from 28% four weeks ago.

Frank Saez, Managing Director of YouGov Sport, says the figures show that fans will find the postponements disappointing.

He said: “Although organisers will be taking the advice of public health officials across the world when it comes to dealing with sports events, it’s useful to see how data like this reflects the strength of feeling among the public. Clearing the calendar of fixtures may well be one of the least popular acts which officials order.”
