UK-based Formula E outfit Envision Virgin Racing has announced a new multi-year partnership with Italian safety equipment manufacturer OMP, who will become an Official Supplier of the team ahead of the 2020/21 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The brand, which creates safety equipment for race cars including suits, gloves, shoes, seats, safety belts and helmets, will provide products to the Formula E team, a move which means OMP is now a supplier to teams in every current FIA World Championship.
Sport England Chair Nick Bitel is to step down from his role after eight years.

Veloce Racing has confirmed that Williams F1 development driver and inaugural W Series Champion Jamie Chadwick will take one of its seats in the first season of Extreme E.
The competition will begin in March 2021, and will see each team field a male and a female driver, who will compete in all-electric off-road vehicles.
Chadwick is currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship with Prema Powerteam, and with the backing of Rodin Cars. According to Veloce, she will be continuing her single-seater commitments in 2021 alongside Extreme E.
Sky Sports will extend its deal with the RFL to broadcast the Betfred Super League, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The deal, which saw Sky fend off interest in BT Sport, is said to be signed off in December, but will see the broadcaster pay less than its current £40 million a year.
Organisers for the ASICS 10K, LimeLight Sports Club, have announced a date for the 2021 race.
Set to take place on 25th July, the race is set to deliver a COVID-secure experience which organisers say may include a range of measures and alterations, including social distancing, staggered arrival times, pre-event health questionnaires and other safety precautions.
LimeLight Sports Club has also unveiled a new ‘COVID-guarantee’ which promises runners that their ticket will be deferred to a new event date or format free of charge if they are required to change due to COVID-19. Runners who were registered to take part in the postponed 2020 event are also eligible to take part in the 2021 edition.
