FIFA and the European Parliament have joined forces in a bid to address social issues through football.
The pair have said they will organise a joint event next year after a meeting between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and European Parliament President David Sassoli in Brussels.
On the agenda are issues such as equality, discrimination, women’s rights, free movement, health and climate issues.
IMG Arena has secured a five-year partnership with the SPFL to provide the league’s content to the international betting market.
The deal will include data from the Ladbrokes Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two, as well as the Betfred Cup and Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup and will also see a partnership between IMG Arena and AI-automated sport production company Pixellot.
The company’s technology will be installed at SPFL Championship grounds and uses a network of ai-powered cameras to track play and generate match footage which can be used online as well as across mobile devices.

IRONMAN has announced Italy’s Sardinia – the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea – as a new host region in 2020.
The region joins Emilia Romagna as the second Italian destination for the series. The mainland event will take place in September before the series heads to the island of Sardinia in October 2020.
