Guild Esports has announced Samsung as its Official Display Partner on a new one-year deal, with an option for Samsung to extend for a further year.
The David Beckham-backed team and lifestyle brand says the partnership is Samsung’s first with a UK esports organisation, and is the fourth secured by Guild since its flotation on the London Stock Exchange on 2nd October 2020.
Samsung will gain marketing rights across Guild’s facilities, as well as its social and digital content, and will be integrated throughout the Guild Academy physical infrastructure and roadshows.
The ECB has confirmed that it will increase capacities at England Cricket matches in June and July, as part of its work with the UK government’s Events Research Programme.
Capacity at the Royal London Series ODIs and Vitality IT20s against Sri Lanka in will see capacity increased, as part of the test events, with the Pakistan games set to follow.
The ECB says that, ‘for operational reasons’, it will focus initially on the three matches – against Sri Lanka at the Emirates Riverside in Durham, the Kia Oval in London and the Bristol County Ground.
Meanwhile, details on arrangements for the Pakistan series will follow after further discussions with the government and local stakeholders. The ECB has also confirmed that the Vitality IT20 match against Sri Lanka at the Ageas Bowl on 26th June will not be part of the programme, while all matches in Wales are subject to separate discussion with the Welsh government.
W Series has announced Ferrari Trento as its Official Sparkling Wine Partner for the 2021 season.
The Italian sparkling wine brand became the Official Toast of Formula 1 earlier this year, and will now be used in the same capacity for W Series’ eight-race season – which will be staged in partnership with F1.
Starting at W Series’ opening race of the year on the undercard of F1’s Styrian Grand Prix on 26th June, the top three drivers will spray Jeroboams of Ferrari Trento on the podium and W Series’ hospitality guests will be offered the sparkling wine throughout the season.
The British & Irish Lions and South Africa Rugby have announced Tsogo Sun Hotels as the Official Hotel Partner of the 2021 Lions Tour to South Africa.
Tsogo Sun Hotels, which has a portfolio of more than 100 hotels across South Africa, Africa, the Seychelles, and the Middle East, will provide accommodation to both the Lions and the Springbok squads, in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Lions arrive in South Africa on Sunday 27th June, with the hotel chain providing accommodation, food and drink, as well as ensuring physical therapy needs are met in preparation for each match.
