The International Cricket Council has unveiled Manu Sawhney as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Sawhney, the former CEO of Singapore Sports Hub and Managing Director of ESPN Star Sports, will join the organisation next month before formally taking over the reins from David Richardson in July following the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The appointment was ratified by the ICC Board following a global search and appointment process led by ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar and the Nominations Committee.
UK-based SIS Pitches has revealed that its pitches are to be used at this year’s AFC Asian cup – the third major football tournament to which the firm has supplied pitches, following the FIFA World Cup in Russia and the Club World Cup in UAE.

Short-form tennis property Tie Break Tens has announced roll-out of its grassroots tennis initiative, TB10 Challenger, in the US market. Designed to increase participation in tennis across age groups, TB10 Challenger tournaments are to be held across all five NYC boroughs over the next few months.
The first competitions will take place on 1st and 2nd February, with events at Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning in The Bronx.
