The ICC has detailed plans for digital coverage of this year’s Cricket World Cup, stating that it will provide greater access and content than ever before.

A new dedicated tournament website featuring in-game clips, live scores, previews, live blogs, press conferences and reports has launched, along with a new official tournament app.

Fans will also be able to watch match recaps on the ICC’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter platforms. The ICC has also launched a channel on social media platform TikTok.


UEFA will deploy Video Assistant Referees (VAR) in a national team tournament for the first time during the upcoming Nations League finals in Portugal.

The technology was in use during the 2018/19 Champions League season and will be applied for the inaugural Nations League finals, which begin on 5th June and will be contested by England, Portugal, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

UEFA held a briefing for the coaches of the four teams in April, providing detailed instructions of how the system works. VAR was also used during last summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.


IMG has been announced as the exclusive global licensing representative for Bundesliga International, which markets the international commercial rights of the top tier of German club football.

The multi-year deal is designed to bring the league to consumers around the world in dynamic and engaging new ways, through international distribution channels and high-quality product categories.

The agreement is in line with the Bundesliga’s international expansion plans, with new offices having opened in Beijing and New York to complement an existing office in Singapore.


Burnley has announced online betting brand LoveBet as its new shirt sponsor.

The three-year deal begins with the 2019/20 Premier League season and grants the Asian company brand exposure on the front and sleeves of the team’s shirts.

Junior replica shirts will not carry the LoveBet logo in adherence with betting rules.
