Intel will host an Olympics-sanctioned esports event in Tokyo during the build-up to next year’s Olympic Games.

Players will compete on Rocket League and Street Fighter V and countries will select four players each to represent them in a qualifying tournament, which will be held in Katowice, Poland in early June.

That tournament will then determine which countries advance to the World Open in Tokyo, from 22nd to 24th July, 2020.


A Bitcoin logo will appear on Watford shirts this season as part of a wider campaign by sports betting brand Sportsbet.io.

Sportsbet.io is the Premier League club’s primary shirt sponsor, and is aiming to improve awareness around Bitcoin and educate the public about cryptocurrencies and will place the logo onto the Premier League club’s sleeve. 


Online betting brand 10bet has signed Didier Drogba as a Global Brand Ambassador.

The former Chelsea striker stars in a new video spot for the brand and will also appear in the company’s upcoming marketing campaigns in the UK and Asia as well as making guest appearances at major live events.


Ticketing website StubHub says that England Cricket games have been a hit on its platform this summer, having outsold a host of mainstream pop artists such as Drake, BTS and Post Malone for tickets in the UK.

The website also notes that fans from 34 nations around the world have bought tickets to England Cricket matches: only tickets to the UK events of BTS and Drake were snapped up by buyers from more nations.


Alpecin has been announced as the Official Shampoo Supplier to UCI Road World Championships, which take place in Yorkshire this year.

The German caffeine shampoo brand first sponsored cycling in 1969 and has had its logo emblazoned on the jerseys of three world champions in the past. Jacob Oudkerk, Maurizio Fondriest and Tony Martin all wore the rainbow jersey with an Alpecin logo.
