Spartan and Tough Mudder – both partners of Sport Industry NextGen – have announced a renewed deal with Actiph Water which will see the brand continue as the Official Finish Line Water Partner in the UK for the 2021 events.

As part of the partnership, Actiph will provide its alkaline ionised water at the finish lines of all five Spartan UK and ten Tough Mudder UK 2021 events to help participants rehydrate and recover effectively.  


The RFU has agreed a new deal with video analysis platform Coach Logic as it looks to provide additional digital and online support to grassroots coaches across the country.

Through the platform, coaches will have access to match and training footage from different levels of the game, as well as the ability upload and analyse their own content, share coaching materials and network with other coaches on the course, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.


Formula E outfit Jaguar Racing have announced the launch of a new, dedicated OTT channel on Motorsport Network.

The new channel, available on Motosport.tv, will take fans inside the Jaguar team throughout the seventh season which begins on 26th February in Saudi Arabia.


 

Notre Dame, one of the US’ most renowned college football programmes, has announced that it won’t participate in EA SPORTS’ upcoming College Football video game until the NCAA establishes rules on how players will be allowed to benefit from the use of their name, image and likeness.

EA is planning to feature more than 100 schools in the game, including the logos, stadiums and branding of the schools through EA’s deal with Collegiate Licensing Company. However, the real names and images of players would not be included as current NCAA rules restrict players from being paid.


The Australian state of Queensland is to be revealed as the ‘preferred bidder’ for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games by the IOC Executive Board, effectively ending the race for the host city.

The process for the 2032 Games is the first time that the IOC has appointed a Future Host Commission, which brings an end to bidding races and elects cities – in this case Brisbane – after extensive means testing and dialogue.  


Sportswear brand inov-8 have announced that founder Warren Eidy has returned to the company he started in 2003.

Eidy has now bought back 100% of the company – outside of Northern Asia – from Descente and will be launching a brand new shoe on 24th March.
