Spanish golfer Jon Rahm has signed with manufacturer Callaway Golf in a new multi-year deal.
The world number two will play a full bag of Callaway woods, irons, and wedges, along with the brand’s Chrome Soft X golf ball and an Odyssey Putter throughout the 2021 season.
Rahm has worked with Callaway to fine tune each of his new clubs and will make his debut as a Callaway ‘staff member; at the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua, Maui.
The British and Irish Lions say they are reviewing the impact that the surge in coronavirus cases might have on its 2021 Tour to South Africa.
The Tour is set to kick off on 3rd July, with both the Lions and the Springboks eager to play out their test series in front of fans inside stadiums.
According to multiple reports, the pair would consider staging the tour in the UK and Ireland if no fans are allowed inside grounds in South Africa by July, in a bid to ensure the tournament is commercially viable.
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has questioned Scottish Premiership side Celtic’s mid-season trip to Dubai for a warm weather training camp.
The trip came just before the Scottish Government announced a new round of lockdown measures which are now in place along with similar measures across the rest of the UK.
Celtic say the training camp was pre-approved by the Scottish Government.
Extreme E has announced that it has been working with YouGov Sport ahead of the all-electric off-road series’ first season, which begins in March.
It says the pair have been working together since 2018 to ‘garner information about the championship’s audience and their attitudes towards fighting climate change, a key aim of the series.’
YouGov Sport, a Category Partner at the Sport Industry Awards and provider of our Stat of the Week, will use its global panel of more than 11 million people to ensure that Extreme E’s objectives and development ‘remains aligned with the constantly evolving attitudes towards fighting climate change in all its forms’.
