Following the launch of LaLigaTV in the UK, La Liga and Premier Sports have confirmed a deal with Stonegate pubs to see the channel screened in pubs across the country.

Stonegate is the largest pub owner in the country, and the deal will see pubs offered up to 150 La Liga matches which don’t clash with Premier League games. It will also add to the availability of LaLigaTV, which is accessible on Sky and Virgin platforms via Premier Sports’ carriage deal.


Skateboard England has launched a new smartphone app, MySkate, which maps each of the skate parks in the UK as well as providing behind the scenes content.

MySkate allows skateboarders to search and locate skateparks across the country by entering a location or postcode and includes maps, photos, park features, reviews.

The sport will debut at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. With over 750,000 skateboarders currently active in the UK, Skateboard England says this is set to increase by over 15% in the lead up to the games.   


UEFA has launched a tender process for technology suppliers, including VAR and goal-line technology, who can provide turn-key solutions for European football’s governing body.

UEFA says it is hoping to enhance its understanding and awareness of service providers and their capability to meet the governing body’s demanding operational expectations. A technology workshop will be held in March at its headquarters in Nyon where those who participate in the tender process may be invited to demonstrate their solutions.


British Gymnastics has announced CanO Water as its first official water partner.

The brand will help support national training camps at Lilleshall and events nationwide, while British Gymnastics says the partnership reinforces its sustainable messaging, with 100% recyclable cans which can return back to shelves in as little as six weeks.


The BBC has announced more women’s football coverage will be coming to its channels, with FA Cup and SheBelieves Cup to be shown across network TV, the BBC iPlayer and online.

An agreement with The FA will see the BBC broadcast the Women’s FA Cup on iPlayer and the Red Button, while one semi-final and the final will be shown on network TV.

All of England’s SheBelieves Cup matches – against the USA, Japan and Spain will be shown on BBC Two or BBC Four as well as BBC iPlayer.
