The ITF will integrate the LTA’s Tennis for Kids programme to help get more children around the world into tennis as part of an agreement between the two organisations.
The global endorsement will see lesson plans and coaching materials from the LTA programme provided to ITF member National Associations, with curricula from the last three years of the programme also offered as part of the ITF’s Junior Tennis Initiative.
Tennis for Kids has inspired almost 100,000 children to pick up a racket in the UK, with over half of those continuing to play after attending. It was set up almost five years ago in the wake of Great Britain’s Davis Cup victory, and the LTA says it has now developed new lesson plans and coaching materials for a broader LTA Youth programme for 4-18 years olds which will be rolled out across the country early in 2021.

Special Olympics GB has launched a new online auction campaign to raise money for the organisation.
The BID2GIVE online auction will see money-can’t-buy prizes, luxury items dna sporting memorabilia auctioned off via the Fundraising Auctions website between Tuesday 1st December and Sunday 13th December, with money raised going to help Special Olympics GB transform the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
The auction sees a huge variety of prizes and offers made available from across the sporting landscape and beyond, including access to the 2021 Tour de France with EF Pro Cycling, including a VIP helicopter ride above the race and the chance to be embedded in the team car; a four-ball round with European Tour CEO Keith Pelley at Wentworth; Centre Court tickets at Wimbledon; and an Abbey Road 50th Anniversary Box Set which has been ‘uniquely personalised’ by Sir Paul McCartney.

A new broadcast partnership between the pair will see the Scottish Premiership leaders live-stream selected matches to a UK audience.
