Mastercard has announced the broadening of its partnership with Riot Games and its esports property League of Legends Champions Series.
As part of the deal, Mastercard will sponsor a Player of the Week series as well as activating with a range of money-can’t-buy experiences to coincide with its Priceless campaign. In addition, the brand has created a global content series entitled “Together Start Something Priceless” to celebrate the worldwide League of Legends community in partnership with MOFILM.
The British Athletes Commission (BAC) has appointed former Team GB olympian Donna Fraser as its new Vice Chair.
The former 200m and 400m sprinter competed at four Olympic Games between 1996 and 2008, and will combine her role at the BAC with her current full-time role as UK Athletics’ Equality, Diversity and Engagement Lead and Interim Domestic Athletics Operations Manager.
OTT platform endurance sports TV, has secured the rights to live stream the 2019 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Dedicated purely to endurance sports, the platform will stream live action from the event across four days, where 10,000 runners from 100 nations taking on one of the seven UTMB events. The content will be available on mobile, tablet, laptop and TV, and alongside the live action, endurance sports TV will also present on-demand highlights as well as Columbia’s How To Be A Trail Runner mini series on the platform.
Connacht Rugby has announced a three-year partnership with sports technology services company Clubforce, which will see the Pro14 club launch a new programme aimed at getting young girls into rugby.
The Clubforce Emerging Talent Programme will see the province work with the 26 rugby clubs in the region to promote female participation at grassroots level.
