Formula E has announced that Korean pop group BTS have become global ambassadors for the all-electric racing series.

The band is the first South Korean music artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is teaming up with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in order to take a message of sustainable energy and clean air to its millions of fans. 

The group has 90m followers across its social media accounts, which will now promote Formula E, and its songs have been streamed three billion times across 79 countries on Spotify alone in 2019. 


The MCC has confirmed that it will send a touring team to Pakistan in 2020, as Test cricket returns to the country after exile from hosting international matches following an attack on a Sri Lanka team bus in 2009.

Since then Pakistan home matches have been played on neutral territory, but two Tests between the country and Sri Lanka will take place in December 2019.

Captained by current MCC President Kumar Sangakkara, the MCC will send a team to Lahore in February 2020, playing a number of matches in the city. The organisation says that the concept of a tour to Pakistan has been a long-stated aim of the MCC World Cricket Committee, some of whose members expressed an interest in helping Pakistan during its exile.


UEFA has launched the tender process for its 2021-24 collectibles category. The governing body is accepting licensing proposals for Official Sticker Albums, Official Trading Cards and other collectible products (in both physical and digital formats) for its men’s club competitions over the three-year period.


RFL partner Ronseal has launched a new campaign to help grassroots rugby league clubs.

The “Fix Up Your Club” campaign will support two clubs with a day each of DIY provided by volunteers from the Ronseal team, while two England internationals will also visit each club for a meet & greet with members from the club and its local community.

The RFL will reach out to clubs in order to take applications, with the first DIY day set for the end of February 2020, and the second for mid-March.


Sky Sports presenter David Jones has joined the Sunderland board as a Non-Executive Director.

The Monday Night Football host is a lifelong Black Cats fan and has also served on the board of Oxford United. Tom Sloanes, Commercial Director (Exchange), betting company GVC Group, who also joins as a Non-Executive Director.


SportInspired, a charity set up to improve the physical and mental well-being of young people through sport has announced three-year National Lottery funding for “United by Fun”.

£500,000 of National Lottery and Sport England funding will go to helping over 9,000 children, young people and families through the scheme, which will see SportInspired take exhilarating sports like parkour, martial arts, fencing and street dance to children living in lower socio-economic groups and fund long term access to the most popular activities.
