Adidas has launched a new bespoke boot in celebration of Liverpool forward Mo Salah, who scored his 100th goal for the club.
The Egyptian became the third-fastest Liverpool player to reach the milestone, and the brand has created a new bespoke version of the X GHOSTED boots for Salah to celebrate the achievement.
He will wear the new boots on-field on Wednesday 21st October as Liverpool take on Ajax in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, Adidas also has launched a new capsule collection with Manchester United star Paul Pogba as part of the brand’s first ever Creators’ Club festival.
The collection features a limited-edition PREDATOR MUTATOR 20+ FG PP with a unique all-over PP monogram logo, combined with a black and gold colour pairing – a homage to Pogba’s first collection with adidas.
UK based esports organisation Guild Esports, launched with the backing of David Beckham earlier this year, has announced a new sponsorship deal with an unnamed European fintech company.
The mystery three-year sponsorship deal is said to be worth £3.6 million, and the organisation says it will reveal the name of the company at a ‘global event’ on 22nd November.
The International Swimming League (ISL) has launched a new OTT platform to offer live coverage of its events in territories where it has not sold broadcast rights.
In partnership with platform provider Idviu, the ISL’s OTT service will include live broadcasts of meets and will offer fans a space to discuss events with other viewers in real time.
Charity running events company Run for All has teamed up with partner Arla Protein to launch a new virtual event which will take place between 26th December and 6th January.
Jog On 2020 will allow participants to set their own courses, choosing whether to run 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon or ultra marathon (which organisers define as ’30 Miles+’) distances. Participants can complete the distance in one go, or in multiple attempts across the race window.
